INTERSEGMENTAL TRACTION

Intersegmental traction will increase the elasticity and pliability of the discs by its mechanical forces of stretching. In this nature, it creates almost a suction-type effect and so will aid in recovery of tissues that have lost their elasticity, flexibility, and pliability. Also, traction has some physical effects by its method of removing pressure physically.

CERVICAL / LUMBAR TRACTION

Traction localized to the cervical or lumbar regions separates or attempts to separate the vertebrae and elongate the surrounding soft tissue.

FLEXION / DISTRACTION

Distraction of the lumbo-sacral joint.
